Fruits of my Heart

Like most of humankind
I am at war with myself
At times the heart wiser than the mind
At times the mind wiser than the heart
But of soul I know not
Nature has taught me about humility
Her flowers do not bloom for eager audiences
The rarest mushrooms quietly appear
perhaps only for a day
Birds of most exquisite colors hide in the thickets
Just like the soul that reveals itself in a fleeting dream
Only to be buried once more in consciousness
And now I sit with the fruits of my own heart
They are mine to bear
They too are mine to share
But just as Nature
I wish to have some just for me
Like the tree that nourishes
on its own fallen fruit
Whomever is learned
In the wisdoms of life
Will know where to find me
My greatest treasures
Are but one question away
