The lakes lie windstill.
Mirrors reflecting the bright skies
adorned in lily pads
Fathers and sons fishing
in the age old waters,
their ripples whispering of Life
Children playing in rock pools
chasing some poor creatures,
what great excitement and curiosity
I see the forests worshipped
in their tall grandeur
shading families from the scorching sun
This is Nature.
Not empty roads and empty trails
in the name of conservation
These family cookouts and beach days
playing soccer, telling stories
no phones in sight
From Colombia to Lenapehoking
This is Home
